London, Ontario (2019)
London was the 1st Canadian city to provide free menstrual products in all city owned, publicly accessible buildings
Thames Valley District School Board
We partnered with student Sarah Chun, Matt Sereda, Virgin Radio London & Tampon Tuesday to help implement free menstrual products in all gender-neutral washrooms in high schools.
Menstruation is an equity issue
We have worked with several universities, municipalities, school boards and workplaces to implement free menstrual product initiatives.
Petition for Menstrual Equity
Presented to House of Commons Oct. 2, 2020
We launched a petition urging the Canadian gov't to stay true to their promise of providing free menstrual products in washrooms at federally regulated workplaces, and to address menstrual equity at the national level. We acquired 2,500+ signatures.
Federal Menstrual Equity Fund
The recently re-elected Federal Liberal Party of Canada has announced a $25 mill Menstrual Equity Fund + free menstrual products in all federally regulated workplaces. All of us advocates will continue to hold the gov't responsible for this rollout.
Open Letter to the Federal Government
A group of advocates joined together to write an open letter to the Federal Government regarding the rollout of free menstrual products in all Indigenous communities. We want to ensure Indigenous voices are heard, respected & honoured. Led by Moon Time Sisters ON, read the letter Here
Free Menstrual Products in Federally Regulated Workplaces!
We did it! Free menstrual products will be rolled out in all federally regulated workspaces as of Dec 15, 2023. This is a HUGE win for Canadians and advocates and we hope this will pick up with private sector workplaces as well!
